The Disney Wish Atrium — Welcome Aboard
Disney had previously shared that “the ship’s atrium will be a bright, airy and elegant space inspired by the beauty of an enchanted fairytale.” And that is certainly what we experienced when stepping aboard for the Media Cruise.
In keeping with a Disney Cruise Line tradition, a beloved Disney character is featured at the bottom of the grand staircase in the Grand Hall.
On the Disney Wish, that character is Cinderella!
When families first enter the Grand Hall, they’ll receive a “royal greeting,” and each child receives a special Wishing Wand they can use to make the “first wish” of their vacation during the boarding celebration.
On the final night of each sailing, guests participate in a ceremony with the Fairy Godmother where they raise their wands and watch a Farewell Show with tons of Disney characters, special effects, and performances.
Disney says the Grand Hall is “inspired by the beauty of a fairytale castle” and makes a bold welcoming statement as guests step on board.
(And, in fact, the Grand Hall is offered as a new venue for Disney’s Fairy Tale Weddings.)
Water Features and The AquaMouse — The First Disney Attraction at Sea!
The Disney Wish features the first Disney attraction AT SEA: the AquaMouse!
JOIN US for our FIRST RIDE on the AquaMouse!!
AquaMouse takes guests straight into the world of animated Mickey Mouse shorts (a bit like Mickey and Minnie’s Runaway Railway, but AT SEA)!
You’ll encounter Disney characters and sea creatures alike in a “wild water ride” that loops 760 feet around the upper deck. And, as you can see in the photo below, the ride even takes you sailing OVER the side of the ship in a completely clear tube for some unbelievable views!
You’ll board a 2-seater ride vehicle and “ascend into a magical tunnel that will teleport [you] into the cartoon world of ‘Scuba Scramble.’”
Mickey and Minnie are running an excursion company called Port Misadventures (what could go wrong there?!) and are taking YOU on an exciting trip! As part of this attraction, you’ll get to see the story play out on screens as you head up the initial tunnel. This new animated Mickey short actually plays out through oversized virtual portholes.
JOIN US for our FIRST RIDE on the AQUAMOUSE!
But WAIT… there’s more! Depending on when you ride, you may enter Swiss Meltdown (instead of Scuba Scramble — that’s right, there are TWO stories!), a different short inspired by the Yodelberg Mickey Mouse short.
In Swiss Meltdown, Mickey and Minnie want to take you on a port adventure where you’ll go sledding down the Matterhorn. But when the bright sun comes out and starts melting the snow, you’ll have to get to the top of the mountain to “ski” your way down before all the snow melts away!
JOIN US for our FIRST RIDE on the AQUAMOUSE!
This video shared by Disney will give you an idea…
We have a TON of details about the AquaMouse, and you can check them out HERE!
The family pool district doubles as an entertainment venue. There with a poolside stage and jumbo LED screen for viewing Funnel Vision movies throughout the voyage!
In this space, guests get to enjoy “brand-new deck parties and nighttime fireworks spectaculars developed exclusively” for the Disney Wish!
The upper decks of the Disney Wish are also home to 10 pools and water play areas featuring nods to Mickey and pals!
A new Toy Story Splash Zone features “larger-than-life rubber bath toys and the Slide-a-saurus Rex family slide.”
This area, located on Deck 12, is designed especially for toddlers and young children, and includes a splash zone, a wading pool, and a family waterslide.
You’ll also find a Smoothie Bar — Wheezy’s Freezies — nearby!
Take a closer look at the Toy Story Splash Zone HERE!
The Disney Wish also provides adults with the Quiet Cove — an adults-only area with an infinity pool, bar and poolside lounge on Deck 13.
Cove Cafe, the poolside lounge for Quiet Cove, has “a fresh new look that reflects the Oceania-inspired artistry of Disney’s ‘Moana.’”
Basically, it has everything you need to unwind…
… including incredibly refreshing cocktails! (The Infinity Swirl pictured above is a sippable Dole Whip topped with cherry and infused with piña colada and strawberry Selva Rey White.) CHEERS!
Dining on the Disney Wish
Rotational Dining
The Disney Wish has three entirely new restaurant concepts as part of Disney Cruise Line’s signature Rotational Dining, whereby you get to dine at every single restaurant while the wonderful crew servers rotate with you so they get to know your group and dining preferences!
Arendelle: A Frozen Dining Adventure
Arendelle: A Frozen Dining Adventure is the world’s first Frozen-themed theatrical dining experience.
Click HERE for our FULL REVIEW of the show and food at Arendelle!!
You’ll find this stunning setting on Deck 5. Let’s step inside, shall we?
Guests enjoy the presence of Frozen characters performing LIVE during the meal in a beautiful dining room designed as the Arendelle castle’s Grand Ballroom!
The show’s special effects include fiber optics, panoramic windows, and “cutting-edge” puppetry that lets you get up close and personal with Olaf.
You’ll see Elsa, Anna, and Kristoff here, too!
It’s all presented in-the-round to present lots of opportunities for terrific views.
The backstory? You’ve been invited to Anna and Kristoff’s engagement party!
Elsa and Olaf serve as your hosts.
And the food for the celebration is provided by none other than Oaken’s “Hearty Party Planning Service… and Sauna.”
In fact, Oaken is making his in-person character debut on The Wish!
You’ll even hear from “local” Arendelle musicians who “specialize in Nordic renditions of familiar Frozen songs.”
And we’ll say this much… you yourself may want to brush up on the lyrics to “Let It Go” before you set sail, so you can belt along with the gang!
Click HERE to fully explore the Arendelle: Frozen Dining Adventure!
Guests dine on “world-class cuisine” with Nordic influences featuring a menu rich in seafood options, but also offering unique liqueurs, game, and more.
The Disney team traveled to Sweden, Denmark, and Norway to research the food options for this restaurant.
There is also a special mead vinaigrette served table-side. And did we mention dessert?
There is SO much more to see — and hear! and taste! — at Arendelle… we have a complete Photo Tour and review for you here!

Worlds of Marvel
The Disney Wish presents the first-ever Marvel dining adventure!
Worlds of Marvel — located on Deck 4 — lets guests “play an interactive role in an action-packed Avengers mission that unfolds around them,” making this a truly immersive experience.
(In short: you’ll get to be a superhero while you eat!)
The restaurant presents what Disney has called the “most ambitious dining experience ever,” with the Avengers: Quantum Encounter!
Avengers: Quantum Encounter features Ant-Man and The Wasp, speaking to passengers on behalf of the Avengers! With help from over 100 monitors throughout the restaurant (so no one misses a thing!), they show off some Avengers tech, including Iron Man’s arc reactor, Captain America’s shield, and Ant-Man’s Pym Particles.
The restaurant, as Disney shares, boasts “state-of-the-art Pym Tech” with a “Stark-itecture style.” The highlight of the technology showcase is the Quantum Core — the latest and greatest Pym Tech.
Each table features an Interactive Quantum Core — but, be careful, because we’ve been warned that they are HIGHLY unstable. (BUT, that doesn’t mean you can’t drink from one…)
Sounds like the perfect setting for you to act out your superhero story — but be warned… an “infamous foe” may appear! (We’ve got a little hint for you here…)
The experience takes place over three acts. And in Act 3?
Well, let’s just say the Avengers may need YOU to help save the day!
Click HERE to get an in-depth look at the Worlds of Marvel dining experience!
As you can see, Paul Rudd as Ant-Man, Evangeline Lilly as The Wasp, Anthony Mackie as Captain America, Iman Vellani as Ms. Marvel (Kamala Khan), and Brie Larson as Captain Marvel all recorded the special sequences that are featured in the restaurant.
There is SO much to share about this immersive experience, and you can read our complete review here AND check out the video by Disney below!
Avengers ASSEMBLE!
Oh, did I forget to mention the FOOD?
Cuisine is based on the Marvel Cinematic Universe, with food inspired by Wakanda, Eastern European Sokovia, California, China, South America, and New York City.

These pieces are placed throughout the truly elegant setting.

“Walk-Around” Dining
Marceline Market
The Marceline Market — named after Marceline, Missouri, Walt Disney’s childhood hometown — is inspired by international marketplaces all over the world.
Click HERE for our review of Marceline Market!
10 food stations make up the food hall with each themed to a Disney animated film like Alice in Wonderland and Zootopia.
It presents the characters as honorary shopkeepers of the food stalls, and the stations offer a wide-ranging variety of freshly prepared cuisines.
These include American classics, international specialties, comfort foods, seafood, soups and salads, vegetarian and plant-based fare, baked goods, and desserts.
A cafe-style beverage bar is available for guests in the center.
And PLENTY of seating lines the perimeter — from booths to tables to bar stool seating — boasting beautiful ocean views from the floor-to-ceiling windows!
Marceline Market offers a “walk-around” (buffet) style of dining for breakfast and lunch, and then the market is converted to table service for dinner.

Specialty Treat Shops and Cafes
Inside Out: Joyful Sweets
The ‘Wish’ has a brand new sweets shop: Inside Out: Joyful Sweets!
Click HERE for our review of Inside Out: Joyful Sweets!
This delectable dessert stop is inspired by the Pixar film Inside Out, and the theme is reflected with sculptures of the five emotions: Joy, Sadness, Disgust, Fear, and Anger.
The shop is decorated with glowing Memory Orb lights and other features that make it look just like the control center in Riley’s head from the film.
There are more than 40 flavors of gelato and ice cream (🤩) along with hand-made toppings like whipped cream, fruit competes, and sauces.
Among the flavors are Peanut Butter Pretzel and White Chocolate Raspberry. You’ll also be able to find cupcakes that are themed to each of the five emotions: There’s a lemon cupcake for Joy, a blueberry for Sadness, a pistachio for Disgust, a red velvet for Anger, and a bubblegum for Fear.
Other offerings include cake pops, handcrafted truffles, brownies, macarons, designer cookies, all kinds of candy, and Chocolate Memory Orbs (which you’ll break open to find candy inside)!
Similar to the ship’s lounges, these treats are available at an extra cost.

Wishing Star Cafe
If you’re craving caffeine, there is an especially charming spot to get your fix: the Wishing Star Cafe!
The Wishing Star Cafe is located on Deck 4 off of the Grand Hall of the ship. (It sits between the Untangled Salon and Hook’s Barbery.)
The Wishing Star Cafe is a specialty coffee bar, and specialty cocktails are served as well.
If you’re craving a latte (or other specialty coffee of choice), your wish comes true here!

Adults-Only Lounges
Various spaces and lounges are available only to guests 18-and-older. According to Disney Imagineering teams, these adults-only spaces on the Disney Wish have been “purposefully designed with adults’ vacation needs in mind – including more relaxation, more variety, more accessibility, and more storytelling than ever before!”
Star Wars Hyperspace Lounge
The Wish features an “out of this galaxy,” adults-only experience: the Star Wars Hyperspace Lounge!
Jump into Hyperspace Lounge with us by clicking HERE!
The lounge offers “otherworldly concoctions” (served by way of camtonos for an out-of-this-galaxy presentation) and interactive tasting experiences in a space designed with sleek, metallic detailing inspired by Dryden Vos’ ship in Solo: A Star Wars Story.
There also just so happens to be a certain drink — the Kaiburr Crystal — that will run you 5,000 Galactic Credits — that’s $5,000 in U.S. Dollars! (Okay, you DO get more than just the drink, though…)
But don’t worry… if 5 Grand Galactic isn’t in the budget, there are plenty of unique, interesting, and tasty creations on the menu!
The virtually-enhanced space located on Deck 3 transports guests to “far, far away” Star Wars locations (by way of hyperspace jumps, of course) like Tatooine, Mustafar, Batuu, Coruscant, and the Moons of Endor.
In fact, OVER 40 spaceships from Star Wars can be seen from the window views!
(You can get a behind-the-scenes look at the creation of this unique space here.) Oh, and if you love Easter Eggs? Hyperspace Lounge has got ’em!
Add surround-sound audio and a holotube that presents holographic models of nearby ships and you’ve got a very cool lounge to enjoy SPACE… at SEA.
Click HERE to see everything we tried at Hyperspace Lounge!
Be aware that you may be required to have a reservation to enter the Star Wars: Hyperspace Lounge. Reservations can be made on the Disney Cruise Line Navigator app.
(Oh, and P.S. The younglings — that’s kiddos, in earth speak — can visit during the day before this space welcomes adults only in the evenings!)
Read more about the Star Wars Hyperspace Lounge HERE! And find out even more reasons why Star Wars fans will LOVE it here!
Keg & Compass
Keg & Compass is the Disney Wish’s signature pub!
Click HERE to explore Keg & Compass!
The space is inspired by the architectural style of a late 1800s Norwegian sailor’s map room and the rich folklore of Norse seafaring.
And while that sounds quite grand (and indeed, it is), the space also boasts MANY touches of whimsy and classic Disney Easter Eggs!!
This bar features a grand map in the ceiling (spotlighting locales related to The Walt Disney Company and, specifically, the design and construction of the Disney Wish).
You’ll also enjoy spotting references to ocean lore, and details inspired by sea-related Disney characters like Ursula and Moana.
Keg & Compass is a great location to watch live sports, news, and major broadcast events, or simply relax and enjoy playing a game.
The specialized selection of beers includes three custom craft brews available exclusively aboard the Disney Wish!
Liquors, wines, and cocktails are available as well.
Keg & Compass hosts a Beer Tasting for an extra charge and interested guests may register on the Disney Cruise Line website prior to sailing or via the Disney Cruise Line Navigator app.
Click HERE to explore Keg & Compass!
Nightingale’s
Nightingale’s is a piano bar inspired by the rendition of “Sing Sweet Nightingale” as sung in the classic Disney-animated film, Cinderella.
You can look forward to an extensive menu of fine wines and hand-crafted cocktails, including the signature beverage, the Sweet Nightingale.
Nightingale’s sits just off of the lobby and acts as an extension of the fairytale-inspired Grand Hall.
Join us for our review of Nightingale’s HERE!
The Bayou
The Bayou is an informal — yet stunning — lounge themed to The Princess and the Frog!
Join us HERE for our full review of The Bayou!
Setting the lush scene are magnolia blossoms, lily pads, and a canopy of twinkling fireflies — much like the enchanted marsh from the film.
A menu of creative cocktails and specialty coffees are on offer.
And of course, it wouldn’t be a New Orleans-themed (or Princess and the Frog-themed) bar…
… without Signature Beignets!
The space also features live entertainment and musical performances.
Join us HERE for our full review of The Bayou!
Adults-Only Dining
Beauty and the Beast-Inspired Spaces
On Deck 12, adults are able to experience a suite of 3 adult-exclusive dining experiences inspired by Beauty and the Beast! Of-age guests can visit The Rose to sip on a before or after-dinner cocktail or choose from an extensive collection of wines and liquors.
At The Rose “guests will also indulge in a special menu of gourmet amuse-bouche and small plates from the Enchanté galley.”
Find out MORE about The Rose here!
Another signature spot is Palo Steakhouse, inspired by Cogsworth, located on Deck 12.
Click HERE for our FULL REVIEW of Palo Steakhouse on the Disney Wish!
The menu brings both Italian fare and modern steakhouse dining to the table.
Guests dining at Palo can choose from either a pre fixe menu or a la carte. The pre-fixe menu is $45 per guest, and includes 4 courses: antipasta (appetizer), insalata (salad), il secondo (entrée), and dolce (dessert).
Palo Steakhouse also offers a private dining room “for more intimate gatherings of up to 12 guests.”
Click HERE for our FULL REVIEW of Palo Steakhouse on the Disney Wish!
Adults also get to dine at Enchanté, inspired by Lumière!
Enchanté is the ship’s most elegant dining experience.
Find our FULL REVIEW of Enchanté by clicking here!
And restaurant is filled with whimsical yet subtle touches and nods to Beauty and the Beast.
The gourmet menu was created by three-Michelin-starred Chef Arnaud Lallement.
Like Palo, there is an added charge to dine at Enchanté. Guests may select from 3 different experiences. The “Collection” (priced at $195) is a 9-course meal that is meant to combine new and signature dishes. It’s similar to a Chef’s Table menu where the team chooses what to serve. (An added champagne selection is $140 per person.)
The “Passion” selection (priced at $125 per person) is a 5 course meal featuring specifically listed dishes. This menu option features tomatoes, wild halibut, and more. A wine experience may be added for $115 per person.
Finally, guests may order a la carte.
Additional offerings include a Champagne Brunch as well as a desserts-only offering. “Just Desserts” features a 5-course dessert menu with coffee, as well as an “in-depth discussion with Enchanté’s Executive Chef and Pastry Chef, who will discuss the history and evolution of each sweet selection.”

Onboard Entertainment
The Walt Disney Theatre
The signature entertainment venue on a Disney Cruise Ship is the Walt Disney Theatre, featuring Broadway-style productions and more world-class entertainment throughout the cruise.
The 1,274-seat theater spans three decks (Decks 2-4) with orchestra and balcony seating.
See ALL the design details of the Walt Disney Theatre here!
Seas The Adventure! — A Brand New Show
Seas the Adventure is an original musical starring Minnie Mouse as Captain Minnie for the very first time! Guests see the production on their first day aboard the Disney Wish.
Captain Minnie hands over the helm to Goofy and he’ll set sail into uncharted waters on a journey to discover his own inner captain. Along the way, Goofy comes across a bunch of Disney and Pixar friends who encourage him to lead with his heart through iconic Disney songs.
The production also includes scenes featuring Disney favorites like The Princess and the Frog, Frozen, Finding Nemo, Moana, and more! Tinker Bell, among other Disney characters, also makes an appearance. Beloved Disney songs you’ll hear include a medley of “Let it Go,” “How Far I’ll Go” and “Touch the Sky” (performed by their respective princesses, Moana and Merida!).
Disney shares that “The show’s grand finale will feature a cavalcade of characters joining Captain Minnie and Goofy on stage. But rather than bidding the audience farewell, these favorite Disney friends will lead guests out of the theater and into the Grand Hall for an unforgettable sendoff experience unlike anything we’ve done before.”
Click HERE to “Seas The Adventure!”
The Little Mermaid — NEW Theatrical Adaption
The Disney Wish presents a brand new adaptation of The Little Mermaid with an entirely new reimagined script and score, featuring the “journey of a young woman learning to value the power of her own voice.”
The story follows a young woman who discovers how she can unlock magic with her voice. This is a modern-day retelling of The Little Mermaid with new special effects, innovative design, and puppetry.
“Under The Sea,” in particular, is an especially memorable number!
We had the chance to check out a special performance featuring a song from Ursula as part of the Destination D23 event which took place in November 2021, and you can see a video sneak peek HERE!
See a video sneak peek of Ursula in this NEW production here!
Disney’s Aladdin — A Musical Spectacular
Guests also get to enjoy a reimagined adaptation of Disney’s Aladdin — A Musical Spectacular on the Disney Wish!
Guests who have sailed on the Disney Fantasy may already be familiar with this high-energy production.
Movie Theaters
Another fan-favorite activity aboard the Disney Cruise Line ships is the ability to watch new and classic films in the movie theater on board. On Deck 4 of the Disney Wish there are 2 intimate screening rooms — Wonderland Cinema and Never Land Cinema — to watch favorite films.
These movie theaters are “the first in the cruise industry to offer Dolby Atmos 3D audio technology for the most immersive movie-going experience on the high seas.” A Disney Cruise Line official noted that, similar to the other Disney Cruise Line ship theaters, they are able to premiere new movies on the ship on the same dates they premiere on land!
Click here to find out more about the TWO Movie Theaters on the Disney Wish!
The Grand Hall
The Grand Hall on Deck 3 of the Disney Wish is able to transform into an environmental theater with the “help of a hidden layer of special effects and the first-ever atrium stage on board a Disney ship.”
The stage transforms throughout your cruise, and one Disney representative said that special effects and the integration of technology transforms the space from day to night.
The Grand Hall is also where families can meet with Disney princesses.
The stage also hosts a game called “Who’s Behind The Curtain,” where guests have to answer questions to reveal the identity of the Disney characters hidden behind the stage’s curtain.
See MORE of The Grand Hall here!
Luna
This entertainment hub on Decks 4 and 5 offers family fun during the day (such as interactive games), then transitions into an elegant venue just for adults to enjoy at night (including adult-exclusive programming and live music and other acts). The space itself is inspired by the Disney and Pixar short La Luna.
Features of interest include a “celestial design” and a two-story LED screen wall along with a stage and plenty of seating for passengers to join in the fun!
Guests get to participate in different themed nights at Luna. During Villains Game Night, for instance, “guests will attempt to answer Disney trivia questions amid the jeers and sneers of nefarious Disney foes, including Cruella de Vil, Gaston, Hades, Maleficent and more, who will join on screen.”
During the “Disney Songbook,” guests have the chance to “belt out Disney songs and showcase their star talent for a live camera crew, who will project each performance onto the big screen.”
This lovely space is also used for the live grand finale interactive event for the mobile game guests can play on the ship — “Disney Uncharted Adventure.”
Of-age guests may enjoy offerings from the full-service bar that also serves pub grub bites in the evenings.
Take a Photo Tour of Luna HERE!
Triton Lounge also provides another, smaller event space.
Passengers can also visit this spot for game nights and live entertainment throughout their voyage.
Sailing with Disney Characters
Your best Disney pals, of course, will be taking the voyage with you!
There are plenty of opportunities to meet your favorite characters onboard with dedicated themed spaces around the ship for you to greet and snap pictures with characters. One of those spots is a Juliet balcony in the Grand Hall, where you may just find the Fairy Godmother!
And don’t forget that you’ll be sailing with Captain Minnie…
…and, of course, Mickey Mouse and MANY more pals!
He’s ready to SAIL with you REAL SOON!
See which Disney Characters we sailed with on the Disney Wish!
And don’t forget…
… the pals come along for your beach day at Castaway Cay, too!
Deck Party — Pirate’s Rockin’ Parlay Party
AAAARRR ye ready for a DECK PARTY, mateys?!
On one night of every voyage, the Pirate’s Rockin’ Parlay Party is hosted by none other than Captain Redd from the Pirates of the Caribbean attraction!
Throughout the party, Redd and her band of buccaneers perform famous radio hits, plus a rock rendition of the classic pirate tune “Yo Ho (A Pirate’s Life for Me).”
When Redd assembles a council of captains, including the famous Jack Sparrow, they’ll unlock a sparkling treasure that lights up the night sky — a fireworks display!
The fireworks are underscored by an original arrangement of the soundtrack from the Pirates in the Caribbean films.
JOIN US at Pirate’s Rockin’ Parlay Party HERE!
Hero Zone
If you’re looking for some active family time, Hero Zone (on Decks 12 and 13) is where you’ll want to go!
This is a “futuristic sports arena where physical activity will blend with imagination, alternating between an elaborate family obstacle course and a free-play sports hub.”
Here, imagination meets active play with sports courts, a game floor, a movie theater, and a playground!
Families are able to take on some physical challenges themed to Disney’s heroes during game show-style competitions. Just want to watch instead of participate? You can head to the balcony viewing area to cheer on the participants!
And what better theme for a family game area than The Incredibles?!
The new offering, dubbed the Incredi-Games, is a “highly interactive, imaginatively produced game show” with an incredible obstacle course, challenge games, and more, all themed to the popular Pixar movie. Here’s what you can expect inside:
- Mr. Incredibles Power Punch — heroes test their strength by busting through a “brick” wall
- Jack-Jack’s Whack-A Rac — you’ll face off against Rocky and his raccoon friends from Incredibles 2
- Elastigirl’s Stretch-O-Rama — an obstacle area with a variety of twists and turns
- Dash’s Mad Dash Mayhem — made for the “speedsters” of your family
- Violet’s Force Field Swing — sends supers soaring across an imaginary lava field
- Frozone’s Ice Slide — “where heroes will ascend to the highest peak and slide down the icy slope to victory”
In addition to the family competition, the littlest ones can compete in a Disney Cruise Line tradition: Jack-Jack’s Incredible Diaper Dash, where infants “speed-crawl across a 20-foot track amid the cheers (and chuckles) of family, friends, and adoring fans.”
Channel your inner HERO by checking out the Hero Zone here!
Disney Wish Kids Clubs
Disney’s Oceaneer Club (Ages 3 to 10)
Kids ages 3 to 10 are able to visit Disney’s Oceaneer Club, as on the fleet’s other ships. The new Club on the Disney Wish, located on Deck 2, is reimagined with a LOT of immersive spaces.
Explore the Kids Clubs on the Disney Wish HERE!
The Wish’s Oceaneer Club features several signature themed spaces where kids experience storytelling, arts and crafts, dress-up, toys, games, watching Disney movies, and hanging out with their favorite Disney characters.
And GET THIS: To enter the club, parents check their kiddos in a deck above in the Grand Hall and then send them “down the rabbit hole” on a secret SLIDE that lands them safely in the central hub!!
HOW COOL IS THIS??
EXPLORE the Oceaneer Club HERE!
Now, let’s talk about those themed spaces…
Marvel Super Hero Academy
First, there’s the Marvel Super Hero Academy where youngsters train to be the next generation of superheroes by learning the ropes from friends like Spider-Man, Black Panther, Ant-Man, and the Wasp.
Kids are able to choose a super-suit from options inspired by Marvel heroes and watch as it forms in real-time.
Then, they can join Avengers: Mission Training for a gesture-based technology game where they put their new suits and skills to the test as they virtually battle bad guys (like Ultron)!
Fairytale Hall
Another experience is over in Fairytale Hall — a trio of activity rooms themed to honor some iconic Disney ladies (who may just happen to stop by…) — Rapunzel’s Art Studio (for arts & crafts), Belle’s Library (books and iPads to provide a little downtime), and Anna and Elsa’s Sommerhus (for games).
Kids make arts and crafts like floating lanterns and paintings in Rapunzel’s Art Studio, and read and act out stories near an enchanted painting in Belle’s Library.
Gesture-based games are hosted by Olaf in Anna and Elsa’s Sommerhus. Kids can have “snowball fights with friendly trolls and [go on] a hunt for mischievous Snowgies in games such as Ice Magic, Snow Ball Bash, and Snowgie Hide & Seek!”
Walt Disney Imagineering Lab
Finally, the Oceaneer Club also contains the Walt Disney Imagineering Lab where kids “discover the secrets of world-renowned Disney Imagineers” through hands-on activities and experiments.
One of these activities is the Ride Studio where kids can create a coaster along the lines of Big Thunder Mountain Railroad, Space Mountain, or Matterhorn Bobsleds and then climb into a capsule to virtually ride their creation!
Sorcerer Mickey just might stop by, too!
Star Wars: Cargo Bay
In Star Wars: Cargo Bay, kids take on the role of creature handlers and help “take care” of Star Wars creatures like a porg, a Loth-cat, a worrt, and more!
They are givens assignments and AR (augmented reality) data pads to study and track the creatures. The “Star Wars: Creature Challenge” allows the kids to “feed” the galactic creatures, and when some dangerous beings cause trouble, they have to work with Rey and Chewbacca to save the ship!
Mickey and Minnie Captain’s Deck
Mickey and Minnie Captain’s Deck features a nautical-themed playground filled with sensory games and activities. Kids are able to visit with Mickey and Minnie!
During “Minnie’s Captain Academy,” little ones can get their wiggles out through a “training session” filled with games, dancing, and “drills” tied to STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics) concepts. Captain Minnie will even proclaim the graduates to be honorary captains!
Explore the Kids Clubs on the Disney Wish HERE!
It’s A Small World Nursery (Ages 6 months to 3 years)
The “It’s A Small World” Nursery on Deck 2 is made for the extra littles of 6 months to 3 years.. This area offers babysitting services in a whimsical environment inspired by “it’s a small world!” Kids are left with Disney-trained counselors to play games, make crafts, watch movies, read books and even spend time with special Disney friends.
According to Disney, “Little ones will be able to spark a cascade of ice magic from Elsa’s hand, send Aladdin and Jasmine swaying on the magic carpet, uncover Flynn Rider as he clings to Rapunzel’s enchanted tresses, and more. A toy train will chug along the ceiling, filling the space with colorful lights, playful sounds and kinetic energy.”
Edge (Ages 11 to 14), Vibe (Ages 14 to 17), and The Hideaway (Ages 18-20)
Tweens and teens have access to Edge and Vibe, two older-kid hangouts that offer counselor-led programs in super cool spaces. Both have customized experiences and even secret entryways accessible only to the VIPs — the tweens and teens!
Edge (Deck 5) is a space for tweens ages 11 to 14 years old to have fun, make friends, and play games. The hangout is inspired by a chic New York City loft complete with a picnic area and graphic art displays. They can watch movies and indulge in a solar bar. There’s an indoor solarium as well as “photo walls” which let tweens share vacation photos with their friends back home.
The entrance is hidden behind a piece of art “that reimagines world-famous paintings in a pop art-inspired compilation of Disney characters, including Minnie as the ‘Girl with the Pearl Earring’ and Donald as Salvador Dali.”
Click HERE to find out more about Vibe and Edge!
Vibe (Deck 12) is for those 14 to 17 years old where they can meet new friends, watch movies, play games and participate in entertaining activities.
This spot is inspired by a Parisian artists’ loft complete with “electric retro” twist decor including neon signs and pop art, along with floor-to-ceiling windows.
The Hideaway is a “hip new hangout” for younger adults ages 18 to 20 where they can chill out, enjoy smoothies, listen to music, and more.
This space even has a DJ booth and dance floor, and activities include karaoke and dance contests. (And, YES, adults… it’s okay to be a little bit jealous of these totally sweet spaces!)
Spas and Salons
In addition to the adults-only dining locations, spas and salons for the adults include Disney Cruise Line’s first-ever outdoor spa retreat, standalone spa, and standalone barbershop experiences!
Senses Spa and the Outdoor Oasis
Welcome to Senses Spa!
The spa features the fleet’s first ice lounge for use with thermal therapies!
And favorite elements that previous Disney Cruise Line passengers are already familiar with include heated ergonomic loungers; sensory spa showers; and sauna, steam, and dry chambers.
Of course, these favorites are presented with all new design touches.
If you’re looking for a spot to exercise, that’s available too, as the reimagined Senses Fitness area offers “state-of-the-art exercise and wellness facilities.”
But if all that relaxation causes you to crave MORE relaxation, the Outdoor Oasis at Senses Spa — which serves as an extension of the Senses Spa signature Rainforest Room experience — is a dedicated outdoor relaxation space featuring whirlpool spas, plush loungers, and plenty of space for open-air yoga.
Aaaahhhh…

Untangled Salon
The Untangled Salon is inspired by the film Tangled. This standalone salon offers haircuts and styling, manicures and pedicures, teeth whitening, and skin treatments.
Rapunzel-inspired touches include shades of purple and gold, floating lantern light fixtures, custom cut metal privacy screens with Rapunzel’s paintings, and a magical flower chandelier.
See MORE of the Untanged Salon HERE!
Hook’s Barbery
For men, Hook’s Barbery is a twist on a traditional European men’s salon, inspired by Peter Pan. Services include cuts, shaves, nail care, and skincare. This spot also features a hidden bar stocked with pre-Prohibition bourbons, vintage whisky and port, aged rum, and premium spirits.
Dark woods, leather chairs, ornate gold mirrors, an inlaid wooden map of Neverland, a hidden pocket watch, and a hook (of course!) make up the space. (And keep your eyes out for Tinker Bell!)
Step inside Hook’s Barbery here!
Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique
Of course, who says salons are just for adults? Guests ages 3 to 12 years old can enjoy a visit to the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique!
This “storybook salon,” features wood details, chandeliers with candle lights, and design elements from Cinderella.
Guests also get to appreciate a mural “featuring a majestic wooded landscape and Cinderella Castle sparkling in the distance,” which is perfect as a photo backdrop for kids after their fairytale makeovers.

MORE Experiences Unique to The Wish
Disney Uncharted Adventure
A NEW, first-of-its-kind interactive experience made its debut on the Disney Wish: Disney Uncharted Adventure!
This new game takes guests on a journey through the worlds of several iconic Disney and Pixar characters. The game is designed for families to play together while on the ship, ultimately exploring areas they may not visit otherwise.
Guests who have sailed on the Disney Dream or Disney Fantasy may be familiar with the Midship Detective Agency, but Uncharted Adventure elevates the experience! For instance, this adventure technically begins before you even board on the Wish! To play Disney Uncharted Adventure, you — and everyone in your party who would like to play — will need the Play Disney Parks app. It will assist you in beginning the adventure FROM HOME.
Before you even step aboard the ship, Captain Minnie and Captain Mickey will tell you about the night sky, the stars, and the special relationship they have with seafaring. But, there are certain “magical stars” you can only see from the Disney Wish! You’ll need a magical spyglass to see them, and The Play Disney Parks app will transform into your magical spyglass, giving you the ability to see these special constellations once onboard.
At the center of these special constellations is the beautiful, shining “wishing star.” But a storm comes along… And the Wishing Star gets hit by something and shatters! And now?
Captain Mickey and Captain Minnie need YOUR help. Using your magical spyglass, you’ll navigate the ship to uncharted regions to find the pieces of the Wishing Star.
“If wishing upon a star makes your dreams come true, what happens when that star goes missing?”
Find out when you play Disney Uncharted Adventure on the Disney Wish!! (OR you can learn TONS of details RIGHT NOW by clicking HERE!)
Olaf’s Royal Picnic
Guests on the Wish are able to attend Olaf’s Royal Picnic, which will transport them to Arendelle for an experience designed for families with children ages 3 to 12. Guests get to interact with Olaf, Anna, Elsa, and Kristoff while listening to live musical performances of Frozen songs.
Treats are included (because what’s a PICNIC without food??). And kids receive some keepsakes to take home including a reversible troll plush, themed picnic blanket, and custom Nordic-style mandolin (which they can use for a singalong with Kristoff)! Guests who have booked a voyage on the Wish may reserve their spot at Olaf’s Royal picnic before sailing for an additional fee. (The price is $220 for Children and $69 for Adults.)
Disney Wish Shopping District
Of course, passengers will likely want to pick up a little something special to remember their voyage on the Disney Wish! The Wish features “an elegant retail district that runs between the Grand Hall and the Walt Disney Theatre on deck 3.”
See TONS of merchandise aboard the Disney Wish HERE!
On either side of this area, there are “five distinct venues [that] will offer exclusive Disney merchandise and luxury gifts like jewelry, watches and accessories.”
Treasures Untold feature Disney Cruise Line’s largest selection of Pandora jewelry.
You’ll also find Artist Spotlight collections, Cruise Line collectibles, and Dooney & Bourke handbags.
Mickey’s Mainsail, on Deck 5, features favorite Disney Cruise Line-themed souvenirs and Disney Wish exclusives.
Items include — but are by no means limited to — apparel for all ages, ornaments, mugs, toys, and MUCH more.
And don’t forget that Disney vacation staple… Minnie Mouse Ears!
And on the upper decks of the Disney Wish, guests can find everything they need to have fun in the sun — such as swimwear, water-play gear, and even some graphic tees — at Dory’s Forget-Me-Knots.
Disney Wish Staterooms and Suites
Take a FULL PHOTO TOUR of a Disney Wish Oceanview Verandah Stateroom HERE!
Staterooms
The Disney Wish staterooms feature an all-new “enchanted” look with a luxurious design keeping families in mind.
Most of the ship’s 1,254 staterooms offer an ocean view and 70% of them have a spacious veranda.
The wide variety of stateroom types include 451 connecting doors that adjoin rooms to accommodate larger families and groups.
Select adjoining rooms also boast adjoined balconies for a larger, shared space!
Walt Disney Imagineering Creative Director Claire Weiss shares that, “All of our ships offer spacious, comfortable and functional rooms that uniquely meet the needs of families. On the Disney Wish, we are elevating this approach with a new level of storytelling and artful design infused with the theme of enchantment that brings to life cherished Disney fairytales.”
Amenities
Most staterooms feature Disney Cruise Line’s split-bathroom concept.
This layout offers a sink and shower in one room and a sink and toilet in a separate room. And all staterooms feature a bathtub.
Enhanced storage options include roomy closets and elevated bed frames for additional under-bed storage. More space-maximizing details include pull-down beds for children that feature a secret starfield above.
Staterooms feature a 43-inch TV, USB and USB-C ports, large vanity, mini drawer refrigerator, full-length mirror, mini-safe, hairdryer, privacy divider, queen and pull-out sofa beds, deluxe toiletries, plush robes, and lavish bed linens and duvets.
You can see more of these details and amenities in our full stateroom tour!
Stateroom Theming
The staterooms are full of rich theming to enhance enchanted storytelling. Imagineers used the “enchanted” motif to design the rooms through three different lenses: Fairytales and Castle, Forest and Animals, and Enchanted by the Sea. The enchanted motif for our pictured Stateroom was inspired by Frozen, complete with stunning artwork.
Each stateroom features custom-made artwork for the Disney Wish that depicts beloved Disney fairytales.
Beyond that, the furnishings tell the story as well with delicate linen embroidery and more.

Concierge
Disney Cruise Line has greatly expanded on the concierge experience aboard the Wish by more than doubling the number of premium rooms and suites to 76 total concierge staterooms and suites.
The rooms can accommodate up to five guests with large living areas, king beds, luxurious finished, and previous amenities. Most concierge rooms feature a private veranda and/or have been themed with design elements of Tangled in mind.
One-bedroom concierge suites have a separate set of amenities, featuring a separate living room, walk-in closets, two 43-inch TVs, and two bathrooms (including a master bathroom with rain shower, bathtub, and double vanity).
All concierge-level rooms and suites have access to an exclusive lounge with a private sun deck so that guests can enjoy a premium level of dedicated service.
Royal Suites
For the most luxurious room offerings, the Disney Wish has debuted four Royal Suites.
Take a FULL PHOTO TOUR of a Royal Suite aboard the Wish HERE!
These extremely lavish suites can accommodate up to six guests and feature first-class amenities. Two of the rooms are Disney Cruise Line’s first two-story suites with features like an elegant spiral staircase and a spectacular two-deck-high stained-glass frieze.
All of the royal suites are inspired by Sleeping Beauty. Two are Princess Aurora Royal Suites featuring lighter, airy colors reflecting Princess Aurora’s life in the Castle, and two are Briar Rose Royal Suites featuring rich, darker tones as a nod to Briar Rose’s life.
Each pair has one single-floor suite and one two-floor option.
The royal suites include an extensive living area, open dining salon, sizeable pantry, and private hot tub on the oversized veranda.
They also each feature two master bedrooms with bathrooms that feature a double vanity and either a rain shower or bathtub.
The living room has a double sleeper sofa in the living room near a third bathroom with a shower. And, of course, guests receive dedicated shipboard service from the Concierge Team.

The Wish Tower Suite
And, for the first time ever, guests who sail on the Disney Wish are able to book a two-story suite that’s located WITHIN one of the ship’s funnels: the Moana-inspired Wish Tower Suite.
It is a 1,966-square-foot penthouse.
The impressive features include 2 main bedrooms, a children’s room, a library that converts into a bedroom, and 4.5 bathrooms.
There’s an open dining area as well as a spacious pantry and bar. And you can’t forget about those views!
This suite boasts incredible views across the upper decks thanks to its 2-story window wall.

Disney has provided the following video so you can take a video tour of the Tower Suite and Staterooms!
Captain Minnie, the Bow, and the Keel
The Disney Wish’s captain is none other than Minnie Mouse herself! According to Disney, Captain Minnie has taken the helm to “inspire the next generation of female leaders in the cruise industry.”
Captain Minnie is also featured on the bow of the Disney Wish! Disney explains that the scroll pattern (which has Hidden Mickeys and Plutos!) is reminiscent of the classic ocean liners of the 1930s, in keeping with the design of the other ships in the fleet.
P.S. The Disney Wish was built at the Meyer Werft Shipyard, which is located in Papenburg, Germany. MANY THANKS to DFB reader Stephan Schröder, who lives in Germany and sent us the photo above — and more!
In April 2021, Disney performed an important ceremony: the traditional keel laying ceremony! When a ship is being built, a newly minted coin is placed under the ship’s keel when the first section of the ship is lowered into the building dock. (It’s considered a token of good fortune.)
You can spy Captain Minnie charting the course!
On March 31, 2022, the ship departed the Meyer Werft Shipyard in Germany after nearly two years of construction. And in April 2022, the Disney Wish entered open water on the North Sea after 24 hours traveling down the River Ems in Germany! The Wish then traveled to Eemshaven, Netherlands for sea trials. Disney shared a video about the voyage:

The Disney Wish arrived in Port Canaveral on June 20, 2022.
A Christening Ceremony was held for the ship on June 29th, complete with Disney Cruise Line performers, works of gratitude and celebration from Disney CEO Bob Chapek and Chairman Josh D’Amaro, and — of course — TONS of Disney Characters who are NOW SAILING with passengers aboard the Disney Wish!
The Christening Ceremony for the Disney Wish took place on June 29th, and YOU can see our photos and videos HERE!
Disney cruise ships typically choose a godmother for each new ship, which represents good fortune for the ship’s travels. For the first time ever, all Make-A-Wish children, past, present, and future, have been recognized as godchildren of the Disney Wish.
The Make-A-Wish godchildren played a special role in the Christening Ceremony, and join the fleet’s godmothers: Patty Disney, Tinker Bell, Jennifer Hudson, and Mariah Carey. This is the first time in Disney Cruise Line history that children have been honored with this role in the ship’s journey!
Click HERE to learn more about the godchildren of the Disney Wish!
A cruise for media and travel experts took place following the Christening. The maiden voyage set sail on July 14th, complete with a water salute!
The Disney Wish Stern
The fifth Disney cruise ship features the beloved Rapunzel — and, of course, her flowing hair — on its stern. (You might also spy Pascal, who lends a helping hand to Rapunzel as she paints!)
FUN FACT: Those 5 stars in the design below symbolize the five ships that make up the Disney Cruise Line fleet!

- There are more than 4,400 pieces of artwork on the Disney Wish! Just one example is a stunning piece by Nikkolas Smith called “Cindys.” In the painting, you can see what appear to be multiple princesses all in their finest gowns, helping one another up. Some princesses are lifting others from the ground, others are pulling them up from above. Nikkolas shared, “Shoutout to every woman rising up after getting knocked down…The strength of Women is unmatched.”
